I watched this movie over the weekend as I felt I needed a good laugh. After reading all the reviews and thoughts, the general consensus was that this movie is “hilarious” and a “must see comedy”. To be honest, it wasn’t that hilarious, but I did get a few chuckles out of it. Perhaps my sense of humour deviates from that of the general Canadian population?
Fido is about Timmy Robinson and his best friend in the whole wide world, a six-foot tall rotting zombie named Fido. But when Fido eats the next-door neighbor, his Mum and Dad hit the roof, and Timmy has to go to the ends of the earth to keep Fido a part of the family. A boy-and-his-dog movie for grown ups, “Fido” will rip your heart out.
I did like the general theme of the movie, I thought the whole idea of Zomcon → was pretty funny – “A better life through containment”. Keeping zombies as servants and having collars on them warning when an attack may be imminent.
I also did like the style of the movie, set out in what I believe is to be the 1950′s or so. It brought authenticity to the concept somewhat. Check out the trailer → if you so wish.

Never mind Zomcon…it has to be Zom Rom Com – Zombie Romantic Comedy.
You’ve seen Shaun of the Dead, right?
Yeah I have. That was pretty good, I actually did find that funny.
