As I mentioned in my Zoom Kobe IV post, I purchased the Lebron VI’s about two weeks after getting the Kobe’s. They are part of my week-in-week out rotation for each game and I’ve played in them for about 2 or 3 games now.
I find them just as comfortable as the Kobe’s but I feel the Lebron’s require thick socks and my ankle seems to rub a bit for the first 15 minutes or so. After that it’s all sweet. One thing I like about the Lebron’s is the fact that they’re hightop unlike the Kobe’s, however as Kobe himself has said “you can twist your ankle regardless of what shoe you are wearing”. In saying that, the shoes feel like they enclose your foot and ankle more. Once again they use similar laces to the Kobe’s, so they stay tight throughout the game.
The Lebron’s look a bit bulky in photos, but in real life they’re quite the opposite. They’re very light as well, similar weight to the Kobe’s. Styling is subjective to the user so I won’t go into that, I bought them because I thought they looked good – plus I’m also a Lebron James fan.
If you’re a baller and prefer hightop’s, then these should be on your consideration list.
