Last Saturday night I watched Notorious, the movie about the late rapper Notorious B.I.G, real name Christopher Wallace. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this movie, but after seeing initial trailers I thought.. damn, this looks pretty good. Sure enough it was.

I guess what helped was the fact that Sean Combs → and Voletta Wallace → both are listed as producers, so they would of had a large part in what went into the movie and how it turned out. It makes sense considering they would of been some, if not the closest people in Biggies life at the time. I don’t know the specifics on the occurances that happened, but from what I’ve read they were quite accurately portrayed in the movie.

The acting was pretty good, not high paid million dollar actor style but they did well. Jamal Woolard → who played as Biggie in the movie did well I think, he even got the voice and the way Biggie spoke down well. One surprise I got whilst briefly watching the credits was seeing that Biggies son actually played the role of him at a younger age! I thought this was pretty cool. The only character I thought that was portrayed poorly was Tupac. Lil’ Kim also had a whinge about how she was portrayed in the movie →.

Overall, it was a pretty good flick. If you liked the Notorious BIG, you’d probably like this movie – so check it out.
